Eurochain Electric Chain Hoist – Digichain (VR2 / VR5)
The Eurochain Digichain electric chain hoist with hook mounted pendant is best suited for loads from 63kg to 500kg and provides a maximum height of lift of 5m.
With the Digichain you can effortlessly position the load precisely and accurately, and the orientation of the pendant is adjustable on the chain by a simple adjustment screw.
- Coil control cable eliminates all risk of cable-jam
- Upper and lower limits switches, for greater operating safety
- Hoisting hook can be removed and replaced with other hoisting or gripping tools
- Low Voltage 48V control system ensuring maximum operator safety

The EUROCHAIN Digichain electric chain hoist is designed to provide users with the maximum levels of safety and accuracy. It is delivered with the following equipment as standard:

Configurations
Push Trolley
If horizontal movement is required the Digichain electric chain hoist with push travel trolley can be used and is suitable for loads of up to 5,000kg.
Geared Travel Trolley
For bigger loads a geared travel trolley can be used with the Digichain electric cain hoist to provide horizontal movement and a lifting capacity of 5,000kg.

WIRE ROPE HOISTS VS. CHAIN HOISTS
Both wire rope hoists wire rope hoists and chain hoists are robust lifting appliances that are widely used across numerous industry sectors in a variety of lifting applications. Wire rope hoists have higher lifting capacities and our range of Eurobloc VT electric wire rope hoists are able to lift up to 250 tonnes, compared with 10 tonnes from our electric chain hoists and 50 tonnes from our manual chain hoists. The greater lifting capacity is one of the factors that makes wire rope hoists a more expensive option compared with a chain hoist, but there are other things to consider when trying to decide whether a wire rope hoist or a chain hoist would be better suited to your operation.
WHEN DOES YOUR HOIST NEED A GENERAL OVERHAUL OR TO BE REPLACED?
Hoists, whether they are electric chain hoists, manual chain hoists, electric wire rope hoists or electric belt hoists are all manufactured with 10 years of serviceable life before a major overhaul or replacement is required. The ten year service life may not necessarily be a physical ten years of operation, but may be used up more quickly or slowly based on how the machine is being operated during its working life.
In order to help evaluate the working life of a hoist you need to be able to calculate how much of the original manufacturers Safe Working Period exists after your lifting operations have occurred.
