Hoist UK fundraise for Wirral Hospice St John's
Hoist UK organised a charity race night in aid of Wirral Hospice St John's and raised over £3,000 for the charity.
Fundraising
We like to put the fun into fundraising, supporting our team as they sign up for sponsored events, all in the name of charity.
Over the last few years we have participated in lots of fundraising events, including the Scouse 5K, the Tunnel 10K, the Port Sunlight 10K, Liverpool Santa Dash, a White Collar Boxing match and also supported the Radio City Cash for Kids Christmas appeal in spectacular fashion. All of these fundraising events helped raise money for life changing projects at charities such as the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, Claire House, Bowel Cancer UK, Cancer Research UK and many others.
More recently we have supported some closer to home charities such as Wirral Hospice St John's, hosting a charity race night to help raise much needed funds for their vital work on the Wirral and Wirral YMCA where we took part in the Woodside Ferry Village initiative 'Sleep Ferry Well', alongside other national charities such as children in need where we hosted a breakfast morning!
There's more fundraising planned for 2020 and we're incredibly proud of our team's and generosity and proactive spirit when it comes to getting involved and helping to make a difference, both within our local community and for national charities.

Wirral YMCA Donation
Hoist UK and sister company Truss UK have pledged £200 towards army style camp beds to be used in the YMCA Wirral’s night shelter.
Ellesmere Port JFC Sponsorship
Hoist UK are this seasons proud sponsors for Ellesmere Port JFC under 14's, who play in the Wirral Eastham and District Junior Football League.

Wirral St John's Hospice Christmas Tree Collection
Our irreplaceable mechanical lifting equipment engineer Geoff volunteers alongside many other supporters of Wirral Hospice St John’s to help collect more than 2500 Christmas trees.
Santa Dash
Tom Bradley, Oisin Rodgers and Paul Jordan took part in the 2017 Santa Dash also in support of Claire House.
Scouse 5K
Paul Jordan and Oisin Rodgers ran the Scouse 5K to raise money for Claire House.
Port Sunlight 10K
Paul Jordan ran the Port Sunlight 10K raising money in support of Bowel Cancer UK.
Environmental Awareness
Hoist UK recognises the importance of environmental protection and is fully compliant with all environmental legislation, regulations and appropriate codes of practice relating to the processes and activities of the company. Hoist UK undertake all reasonably practicable measures to continually improve its environmental performance. Wherever possible, the company aims to:
- Assess the environmental impacts of the company’s activities during the fabrication process of our manufacturing operations
- Reduce the amount of waste produced
- Reduce the consumption of raw materials, water and fuels
- Reduce and/or limit the discharge of pollutants to water, land and air
- Use recyclable and renewable materials in place of virgin products wherever possible
- Limit the noise in and around the site
- Lessen the risk to employees and members of the public from processes and activities associated with the company.
- The company will foster environmental awareness and understanding in all employees, suppliers, customers, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
- Where practicable, the company will provide information/assistance to customers on environmental issues arising from its products and services.
