This can be seen within the rise in hi-tech manufacturing, particularly electronics that must be made and assembled in a dust free hygienic environment, as one of the dominating requirements driving the need for purpose designed cleanroom lifting equipment.
Bespoke Monorail Cleanroom Hoist, Mars Rover
Bouygues Energies and Services required a cleanroom standard hoist with bespoke features to be built into the ceiling of their Mars Rover simulation room. The hoist would be used to pick up the Mars Rover for general maintenance or in the event it falls over.
The simulation room at the Airbus facility in Stevenage has been designed to mimic the terrain on Mars and maintaining this environment is paramount. Cleanroom Wall Mounted Jib Crane and Bespoke Wire Rope Hoist for Aerospace Customer
Any lifting application within a cleanroom environment has stringent hygienic standards imposed to protect the integrity of the operation. After discussing our customers intended application our technical sales team worked with our design engineers to devise a lifting solution that was operationally effective and fully compliant with the precipitating cleanroom standards.
As the application required precise positioning the load would need to be raised and lowered at a very slow rate, and feature true vertical lift. The customer had expressed a preference for wire rope and this would need to inform the design of the bespoke hoist, as well as the need for the load to remain steady and balanced during operation.

Our customer is a manufacturer of innovative plastic bearing solutions who required a safer solution to lift and handle a component as part of their manufacturing process.
This specific operation at the Oxford Space Systems facility was a newly conceived cleanroom and working closely together with the projects main contractor Total Projects UK and leading cleanroom design and construction specialists Clean Room Construction Ltd (CRC), Hoist UK designed and fabricated a free-standing structure that would not only be the support structure for the crane, but also for the cleanroom.
