BESPOKE MONORAIL CLEANROOM HOIST, MARS ROVER

Bouygues Energies and Services required a cleanroom standard hoist with bespoke features to be built into the ceiling of their Mars Rover simulation room. The hoist would be used to pick up the Mars Rover for general maintenance or in the event it falls over.

The simulation room at the Airbus facility in Stevenage has been designed to mimic the terrain on Mars and maintaining this environment is paramount. One of the key features in the design process of this project was the focus on cleanroon standards and to ensure our bespoke elements had a high standard of compliance.

CLEANROOM CRANE SYSTEM AND FREE-STANDING STEEL STRUCTURE TO FORM CLEANROOM FOR OXFORD SPACE SYSTEMS

Our customer is a manufacturer of innovative plastic bearing solutions who required a safer solution to lift and handle a component as part of their manufacturing process.

This specific operation at the Oxford Space Systems facility was a newly conceived cleanroom and working closely together with the projects main contractor Total Projects UK and leading cleanroom design and construction specialists Clean Room Construction Ltd (CRC), Hoist UK designed and fabricated a free-standing structure that would not only be the support structure for the crane, but also for the cleanroom.
