Load Arrestor – 1000kg

Our 1000kg load arrestor provides a secondary safety back-up for overhead loads. Load arrestors can be used in conjunction with a primary lifting device such as a hoist. Should the primary support system fail, the load arrestor will automatically come to a stop, preventing the load from falling, and more importantly, protecting anyone below.

Hoist UK provides load arrestors with a high-strength retractable cable that extracts and retracts, following the movement of the load. This means the load arrestors can be fitted to equipment used for dynamic loads, as well as static loads. On the occasion the load enters into free-fall, the cable is pulled out at an accelerating rate; once the activation speed is reached, the braking system will engage, bringing the load to a smooth and cushioned stop.
