The VR electric chain hoist with hook suspension for loads and applications where horizontal movement is not required.
The Eurochain VR electric chain hoist showcases complete innovation and have been developed with new materials and new operating concepts in mind to deliver a robust, flexible lifting solution for loads of 63kg – 10,000kg. The VR is also available in an ATEX version for use in Zone 22: Hazardous Dust Environments.
This electric chain hoist features simplified maintenance operations and improved lifting speeds, that delivers increased productivity and greater performance when compared with previous generations of electric chain hoists.
The Eurochain VR electric chain hoist is designed to provide users with the maximum level of safety. It is delivered with the following equipment as standard:

The VR electric chain hoist with hook suspension for loads and applications where horizontal movement is not required.
If horizontal movement is required the VR electric chain hoist with push travel trolley can be used.
For bigger loads a geared travel trolley can be used to provide horizontal movement.
The Eurochain VR electric chain hoist fitted to a variable speed travel trolley can electronically manoeuvre loads.
The Bogie Travel Trolley is specifically designed for use with curved beams where horizontal movement is required.
This trolley has been designed for use with the Eurosystem lightweight crane system.
Using a VR Electric Chain Hoist with a Jib Crane within an industrial environment provides a safe, robust lifting and handling solution to optimise your operation.
Subjective to your individual requirements we have a variety of Jib Crane available for you to choose from, including floor mounted, wall mounted and ceiling mounted. Dependent on the jib crane you choose the slewing range can vary from 180° to 360°, the radius/span can range from 2 to 8 metres and the jib arm can either be a profile beam, Eurosystem beam or hook suspension to configure with an electric chain hoist or manual chain hoist.
Our articulated jib cranes, which include TA Wall Mounted Jib Crane, TC Free Standing and TSR Ceiling Mounted Jib Crane have a fixed hook mount for chain hoists.
We also have a range of jib cranes with profile beam arms that are configurable with low headroom trolleys, push travel trolleys, manual trolleys and powered travel trolleys, as well as wall mounted and free standing jib cranes with Eurosystem arms that are compatible with a Eurosystem trolley which is supplied as standard with the VATS Wall Mounted and VFTS Wall Mounted jib cranes.
Both wire rope hoists wire rope hoists and chain hoists are robust lifting appliances that are widely used across numerous industry sectors in a variety of lifting applications. Wire rope hoists have higher lifting capacities and our range of Eurobloc VT electric wire rope hoists are able to lift up to 250 tonnes, compared with 10 tonnes from our electric chain hoists and 50 tonnes from our manual chain hoists. The greater lifting capacity is one of the factors that makes wire rope hoists a more expensive option compared with a chain hoist, but there are other things to consider when trying to decide whether a wire rope hoist or a chain hoist would be better suited to your operation.
Hoists, whether they are electric chain hoists, manual chain hoists, electric wire rope hoists or electric belt hoists are all manufactured with 10 years of serviceable life before a major overhaul or replacement is required. The ten year service life may not necessarily be a physical ten years of operation, but may be used up more quickly or slowly based on how the machine is being operated during its working life.
In order to help evaluate the working life of a hoist you need to be able to calculate how much of the original manufacturers Safe Working Period exists after your lifting operations have occurred.
When equipment is rated as ATEX, what does this mean?
ATEX is the name commonly given to the two European directives for controlling explosive atmospheres. ATEX lifting equipment can mean electric chain hoists, wire rope hoists and belt hoists, winches, trolleys and pneumatic lifting equipment, and can be referred to as spark proof or Ex equipment.
