Hoist UK offer a variety of Crane Components for use in clean room crane kits that can be supplied for loads up to 13,000kg (13 tons) and suitable for spans of up to 20 metres. The Crane Components form crane kits specifically for use in a clean room environment that contain all of the items required to build an overhead or underslung crane, all except for the main bridge beam.

The Crane Components (Clean Room) technical features:
Pharmaceutical applications require stainless steel encased hoists and stainless steel lifting equipment to maintain an uncontaminated and safe operating environment. Hoist UK's pharmaceutical clean room products have either 304 or 316 stainless steel housing.
Food grade hoists and lifting equipment are designed for clean environments such as commercial kitchens and are loaded with stainless steel and corrosion-resistant surfaces, intended for use in a room that is regularly sanitised by chemicals and frequently sprayed with water.
In the aerospace industry, clean room processing is critical for the manufacture of safe and effective components. Even the slightest contamination or particulate presence in sensitive components can completely compromise the required standards, resulting in complete equipment failure.
Clean rooms have strict rules and procedures in place to prevent contamination and are required within semiconductor operations as the tiniest speck of dust can destroy the functionality of an entire chip. Absence of effective control leads to contamination which would damage the product.

Our customer is a manufacturer of innovative plastic bearing solutions who required a safer solution to lift and handle a component as part of their manufacturing process.
This specific operation at the Oxford Space Systems facility was a newly conceived cleanroom and working closely together with the projects main contractor Total Projects UK and leading cleanroom design and construction specialists Clean Room Construction Ltd (CRC), Hoist UK designed and fabricated a free-standing structure that would not only be the support structure for the crane, but also for the cleanroom.
