VHR EX Sparkproof Manual Chain Hoist
The VHR EX Sparkproof Manual Chain Hoist is the Explosion Proof (EX) equivalent of the standard industrial VHR Manual Chain Hoist and has the same compact design, delivering safety with a reduced weight and provides a lifting capacity of 500kg to 20,000kg.
The VHR EX Sparkproof Manual Chain Block has the following options available:
- VHR EX available with Galvanised or Stainless Steel chain option`
- Textile chain bag (steel available 3000kg and above)
- VHR EX - ATEX with normal headroom push travel trolley
- VHR EX - ATEX with low headroom trolley
- Supplied with EC Declaration of Conformity

Boasting the same standard features as the VHR the VHR Ex Sparkproof Manual Chain Hoist also includes the following features:
- ATEX Marking: Ex II 2GD c IIC T4 T+135°C
- Suitable for gas and dust hazardous areas, in zones 1 and 2, 21 and 22 hazardous areas
- Overload limiter as standard
- Corrosion proof and calibrated load chain
- Stainless steel 316 hand chain as standard
- Bronze coated hooks
- High-resistance RAL9006 aluminium-type powder coated finish, 70 μ thick
- ISO hooks with safety latch
- Supplied with and hook and chain certificate
- Delivered with EC Declaration of Conformity

When equipment is rated as ATEX, what does this mean?
ATEX is the name commonly given to the two European directives for controlling explosive atmospheres. ATEX lifting equipment can mean electric chain hoists, wire rope hoists and belt hoists, winches, trolleys and pneumatic lifting equipment, and can be referred to as spark proof or Ex equipment.
